Aug 29, 2022I bought my Camry back when this was known as CharlesI bought my Camry back when this was known as Charles Maund Toyota and it came with lifetime oil changes. The last time I had the car brought in they told me that they will no longer honor the lifetime oil changes. This new dealership was really aggressive. They told my daughter that we are now "blacklisted". So now that it was time for me to buy a new vehicle, I got one from another dealership. Never come to this dealership for anything! May 04, 2022Very poor customer service.Very poor customer service. No plates since march 8th no title & no callbacks. Bad dealer customer service. No one can give us any feedback on the title which was paid for and still no license plate. Paper tags will run out on May 9th. Title has not been transferred according to Travis county but the dealership has no knowledge of doing this or even how to get real plates. I would never recommend this dealer. May 06, 2020Easy process and trustingThis is my second car from Charles Maund. I've purchased both a pre-owned and now a new vehicle from Maund. Each staff person i spoke with made the process easy. Everyone was friendly and in our case stayed late to complete the transaction. My latest process flow went from first contact via online sales to in store sales and finally to warranty/finance. I came with my own financing in place. Charles Maund beat my rate! Never once was did I feel any high pressure. I'll be looking at Charles Maund when i get ready for my next vehicle purchase. I called Charles maund Toyota and spoke with Joe, explained the situation and what we were looking for along with the fact that we would not be able to be there until around 6 PM.. I’ve had other experiences at car dealerships where I was ignored and all questions were directed to my husband who really could care less about cars and I felt very disrespected. Joe was an incredible resource. He was able to communicate with me via text all day so by the time my husband and I got there in the evening we already had a good idea of what we wanted and had everything ready to go to turn in the old car. He was so respectful and patient and helpful. It was as seamless a process as I could’ve imagined and we absolutely love our new Camry. They utterly and completely took advantage of me and sold me a “lemon” car. PLEASE ANYONE, EVERYONE do NOT come here! Go to any other Toyota dealership in Austin. To start off, I purchased my car last week Wednesday 12-25-20 a day before thanksgiving. I went in and spoke to Ben Spicer, who would ultimately be my salesperson. After looking at a few SUVs on the lot, I decided to go with a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. But, I told Ben that if I purchase this car I need to it to be completely cleaned out cause it was FILTHY. I mean dirt in the crevices, big brown stains on the roof, under the front hood was dusty, etc. Fast forward, due to my insurance being closed on thanksgiving i couldn’t transfer the insurance from my old car to my new one, so, I had to pick it up Friday 12-27-20. So when I went Friday, to go pick it up after they claimed to detail the car, i noticed the car was still as dirty as I left it and dirty foot stains on the mat also. I told him, “why is the car still dirty? Did anyone even look at it?” His excuse was “I told them to clean it, sorry I didn’t really get a chance to look at it, and they speak Spanish so sometimes it’s hard for them to understand”. That is NO excuse for my car to be filthy but he said he can go ask again for them to clean it. So, a few hours later I go to pick it up after they “detailed” the car the 3rd time! Then, he said him and his coworkers helped cleaned the car with the service department to make sure everything is good to go. I stepped in and STILL the car was dirty, but at this point I said I will just clean myself. So as I’m driving home that Friday 12-27-20 I notice the alignment of the steering wheel was way off. Moreover, I noticed when I’m coming stop it felt like my engine was struggling. So since it was the weekend and they we’re closed that night. I decided to wait till Monday because I wasn’t even going to drive the car that weekend anyway. Now it’s Monday morning 12-30-20 and I’m on my way to work, so I get in my car and see the low tire pressure light came on. I immediately check my tires and see that the left front tire on the drivers side looks low. I go to discount tires and they tell me not only do I have a huge nail in the top left drivers side tire, also, the front two tires have a low threshold in the red zone. I immediately call Ben, my salesperson and tell him the issues I’m having, he informs me he will bring it in to the service department Tuesday for the 3RD time, to take a look at everything. But, at this point I wanted OUT. From the terrible customer service, to the bad possible engine, to the bad “detailing”, to the bad alignment of the steering wheel. I knew that they sold me a terrible car. After telling him I need to see my options on opting out or possibly trading in, they then promised me they would look and fix all my issues, and to just give them one day. 3 days later, no phone call, not email, text nothing. So, I decided to speak to the general manager Jim Dimeo, but, unfortunately he was not in. Because of that I was sent to Ty Reed. Who had to been THE worst person I spoke to in the Used Car Department. He claimed he was manager, when in fact he was the assistant manager. During our conversation, he was very pretentious and disrespectful. I told him the issues I was having and he told me, he does not see any issue. That his team focuses on putting out cars and not so much detail or servicing the car. He told me that discount tires lie to their customers and my tires were low but nothing to be concerned about. He then said I can’t do anything and if I want to sell or trade it in somewhere else it’s my issue, cause now own the car. Even though I haven’t even driven it for a full 3 days. Since I got my car yesterday 12-04-20 it’s driving a bit smoother, but the amount of issues I had in such short notice is deterring me from wanting this car at all. If Charles Maund claims to take care of their customers and treat them with respect, why has all this happened? PLEASE stay far away. Oct 25, 2020I bought my first new vehicle a week ago. Jul 04, 20202018 Dodge JourneyPrior to purchase I extensively searched the Internet and pretty much had decided on this one prior to test driving. The salesperson drove the car to my home and I tested it. There was very little going back and forth on the sales price. I already had approved financing with my CU. The only thing I did not get was Sirius. One of the representatives told me he could tell me how to get the service from some connection so my cell would not be tied up but he never did. I did get a unexpected cut on the price we agreed to and that was great. My issues: There was no manual in the car. I asked Terrelle, the sales person for one and am still waiting. On May 29, I asked Sergio about the warranty and was told by text that it was 60,000 3 years. On June 22, I texted Sergio again to ask about the key connection and manual but did not receive a response. I called last week and told the receptionist I wanted to speak with someone other than the people I had been communicating with. I spoke with another rep and told him I had no warranty papers and he said to come in and they would go over it. I told him I was in my 70's and did not plan on that due to COVID-19. He said he would have someone call me. Nothing so far. I was told because it was a used car I had to purchase the other key as there was only one. I have never had to purchase a second key for all the used cars I have purchased. My CU paid cash for the vehicle. Why do I have to purchase a key, for any reason. He said I could get the dealership rate and he would give me the number. He never did so when I called about the warranty I asked about this and was given the number. $225 to get a second key I should be entitled to free. From May 29 til today I do not have a manual, warranty information or second key. I have waited to complete this survey hoping these issues would be resolved by now. I am very happy about the car I purchased and have no problems with the dealership. When preparing the vehicle they noticed a damage not necessarily obvious to the naked eye and contacted me. After examining the vehicle we decided I didn’t wanted the car. They were extremely courteous showing us other similar used vehicles. Then they gave us a incredible offer on a new RAV4 that we couldn’t reject. They performed as a team of used cars salesmen, new cars salesmen and the managers definitively do their best to get you a great deal. Salesmen are very professional and care about their customers and the good name of the dealer. For the new Rav 4, Mr Miguel Vega took care of us, for the original used Rav 4, Mr Bernal took care of us.
