What is the probability of getting a prime number or a factor of 6?

The probability of getting a prime number is 1/2. So, the total number of outcomes on rolling a die is 6. Now to obtain a prime number, the die should show 2, 3, or 5. So, the number of favorable outcomes is 3.

What is the probability of getting an even number or a factor of 6?

The probability of getting a factor of 6 in the experiment of throwing a dice is 2 / 3. A factor of 6 is a number which leaves no remainder on dividing 6 by that number.

What is the probability of rolling an odd number or a factor 6?

If the die is perfectly balanced, the probability of rolling an odd number is 3 out of 6, or 50%.

When a dice is rolled the probability of getting either prime or composite number is?

STATEMENT - 1 : The probability of getting a composite number is 1/3. STATEMENT - 2 : There are three possibilities for the obtained number (i) the number is a prime number (ii) the number is a composite number (iii) the number is 1, and hence probability of getting a prime number =1/3.
