2023 Corolla hybrid release date Reddit

Yes, that rumor is correct.

There will be a more powerful and sportier Prius and should come out next year?

I read two days ago that someone claimed it will be a four-door coupe. But I’m not so sure about that. This is a project that has been tight-lipped.

Regardless, the Prius needs to be reinvented now that almost every single Toyota has a hybrid option.

Answering my own question here since I decided to go into the dealership and check…the LE is available in 4 colours -- Black, White, Silver and Celestite; the S line in those 4 plus Blueprint and Underground.

And for anyone that finds it useful…the on-the-road all-inclusive prices I was quoted for the hybrid AWDs are: $33,000 for the LE, $35,800 for the SE and $40,800 for the XSE. (All prices Canadian).

I called my local dealer who is the largest in a very large city, and they had zero information on timelines, options, pricing, etc. They basically said "Once the Toyota site has information up, we will have information and can order one if you'd like". It seems a bit late in the year for a '23 model to not have any information, but these are strange times for the auto industry.

I currently have a 04 Mazda 3 with about 240K miles and the transmission has started to slip. With the age and miles on the car it is not worth it for me to repair the vehicle. As I’ve been driving the car more and more, the symptoms have gotten worse so I would like to get a new car sooner rather than later.

I located a Toyota dealer in TX that is selling a 22 Corolla hatchback at MSRP with no add ons. The vehicle is at the dealership.

I know the 23 models are coming out soon. Should I wait for the 23 models or stick with the 22? I know there are already waiting lists for the 23 models but wanted to see what you all would suggest. Any notable improvements between the 22 and 23 model years that would make you wait?

No info for me for 2023 Corolla Hybrid, just 6-9 month time.

Does anyone know how good this is for the newly updated hybrid?

the available 1.8-litre hybrid system has been upgraded with a new electric drive system and a lithium-ion battery (replacing the older nickel-metal hydride battery), for a combined power output of 98kW, up 8kW.

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.

It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.

Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.

Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

Today, I pre-bought a 2023 Toyota Corolla LE Hybrid that's slated to come October 11. Here's how the process went down:

After inquiring a month ago, my salesman (Carl henceforth) asked me to come in to workout a deal for the above car. I told him when I first inquired and again that I absolutely do not want to pay for any dealer markup or dealer add-ons. He said they've been doing a lot of MSRP deals and could definitely do something, so I went in.

Carl and I meet at the dealership. He told me MSRP for the car is $24.5k and that they add on a package that includes tints, door edge guards, front protection film, etc. for $4k and a wheel protection package for $280. I told him no, mentioning the above. He said how much I could do for that the package. I told him I'll do $1k. He goes to manager, returns with $1.3k plus $280 for the wheel protection package. Figured I had to compromise a little to buy the car close to MSRP + taxes/fees, so I agreed. I even clarified OTD price of approximately $28,400.

I go to the financing office and start signing paperwork, refused GAP insurance and all that extra stuff. I asked the financing guy (James henceforth) if I could pay for the car outright instead of financing. He says yes but obviously doesn't recommend it. Then, I ask James to clarify the total OTD price again. Including my down payment, total OTD price was $36,000. Needless to say, I was shocked because that was not the price Carl and I agreed to.

James brings Carl in. Carl looks and sounds just as dumbfounded as me. James says it's a miscommunication on their end, that their manager thought that we agreed to their alleged MSRP $26k (not $24.5k like before) plus my down payment of $10k. They try to workout a new deal. James says they can do $31k since it was a mistake on their end. I refuse, saying that that's not what was agreed to. He goes to $30k. I still refuse. Carl offers to personally buy me a dash cover and all-weather floor mats. I still refuse.

Finally, they bring in their manager (Nick henceforth). Nick begins explaining why they can't sell the car for $28.4k, that they'd be negative, that I know that, that I'm refusing to pay $30k because of my pride and principle, etc. I still refuse, saying that that's not what we agreed to and that I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake. At this point, we're about $1.6k apart. My mother leaves to answer a call. I get up as well to leave, but stand around answering a text quietly, sort of like I was waiting for her to return. Nick then asks if I could go up at all and if I'd consider financing. I said I'd finance and reiterate the agreed-to price, he asks again, I sigh and say $28.7k. Nick goes down to just below $29k. I said to include the dash cover and all-weather floor mats, they agree. I agree to this price, sign the paperwork, and give my down payment.

My questions are:

  1. Is this a good deal for the car?

  2. Is it possible that this was an act that Carl, James, and Nick did to get more money from me? If it is, is it typical of car dealerships?

TL;DR: Bought a 2023 Toyota Corolla LE Hybrid for $29k. Good deal or not? Read above for the entire process.
