Lg 75 inch 4k tv review năm 2024

If there ever was a perfect day to buy a TV, it would be Black Friday. Tons of the best Black Friday deals are pouring in and some TVs are down to their lowest prices ever.

Currently, the LG 75-inch 4K UHD TV is available for just $569 at Best Buy. That's one of the lowest prices we have ever seen for a TV that knocks off $230 from its regular price of $799. Some of the top Best Buy Black Friday deals include TVs and we have handpicked this LG 75-inch TV that is down to a pretty low price.

If you are looking for a really large TV without wanting to shell out too much, this LG 75-inch 4K UHD TV is a good option. It has all the smarts of a modern TV, including an impressive 4K Quad Core Processor that enhances picture quality and sound.

LED TVs have one advantage over OLED TVs — they can be brighter. And that is one of the top features of the LG 4K UHD TV — it is bright, has a high contrast and has a rich 4K Ultra HD display. It has support for both HDR movies and shows as well as HDR10 content streamed from Amazon Prime Video. Plus, you will get the benefit of LG's WebOS 6.0 platform that has all the latest streaming apps along with access to over 300 LG channels.

One of the best features of this TV is also that it has a home dashboard that easily lets you control all connected devices like a gaming console or a sound bar. It is easy to use and even shows the local weather. Gamers might enjoy the Game Optimizer option that gives you quick access to all game settings, automatically adjusting the picture for optimized graphics.

We would have liked to see more HDMI ports on this TV though, since it only has two on the back.

This deal on the LG's standard LED TV is one of the cheapest we have seen for a 75-inch LG TV and it compares closely to this 75-inch Samsung 4K TV that is currently down to $579. You can also save on OLED TVs right now, but if you're happy with a large 4K LED TV, the LG TV is worth picking up.

When it comes to getting a cinematic experience, the best 75-inch TVs can deliver something significantly closer to what you'd see at the cinema when stacked up against smaller models.

Having a TV of this size really has its advantages. Not only are details more noticeable thanks to the super-sized image, but you'll typically see brighter images with better contrast and richer colors, too.

In the past it's been prohibitively expensive to buy a 75-inch TV, because it was mostly only the very best TVs that came in these sizes. But that's not always the case these days – in fact, it's fairly easy to spot a good 75-inch TV deal every week that sees some behemoth television screen cut down in price to around what the best 65-inch TVs or best 55-inch TVs would cost.

Our guide has been designed to reflect a variety of prices, including some surprisingly affordable options as well as cutting-edge, ultra-premium home theater monsters, and we're constantly updating it as new models hit store shelves.

Let's get to the sets. Right below you'll find our guide to the best 75-inch 4K TVs you can buy in right now – including the best 8K TVs, because at this size that extra resolution really makes a difference. You'll also find many of the best OLED TVs here, though at 77 inches instead of specifically 75 inches. That's because OLED display panels are made slightly differently.

The best 77-inch TV overall

Specifications

Screen size: 55,65, 77 and 83-inches

Resolution: 4K

Panel type: QD-OLED

Smart TV: Tizen

HDR: HDR10+, HDR10, HLG

Reasons to buy

+

Stunningly bright, contrast-rich pictures

+

Excellent gaming support

+

Great value for QD-OLED

Reasons to avoid

-

No Dolby Vision support

-

The S95C and LG G3 are brighter

-

The S95C sounds better

The Samsung S90C is our top pick for the best 77-inch TV overall. It has a range of impressive connectivity options and gaming support, with full 4K 120Hz and variable refresh rate gaming graphics across all four of its HDMIs. It also has Samsung’s Neural Quantum 4K processor that the flagship S95C QD-OLED TVs get in 2023. This uses 20 neural networks to introduce multiple 'AI'-based refinements to the way the TV treats incoming sources – including better upscaling of HD and SD content to the screen’s native 4K resolution.

Picture quality is stunningly bright, presenting you with contrast-rich pictures. The S90C might not give you the full, unfettered 2023 QD-OLED experience like Samsung’s S95C does, but it still manages unlock a higher level of brightness and color depth than other OLED's at the same price. Another strength of the S90C is that it joins other OLED technologies in being watchable from almost any viewing position.

The Samsung S90C has an incredibly thin panel design, at least at its edges. It's a little chunkier in the middle because that's where its external connections/processing box lives. Some people who don't like cables might want an external box instead, but this design is one of the reasons that the S90C is excellent value.

And the Samsung S90C is great value for QD-OLED. It's not that much more than LG’s C3 model, but the boost you get in brightness and sound quality is worth the extra cost. Compared to the S95C it's not as bright, but as we said in our Samsung S95C review, there are times where the S90C arguably retains a touch more consistency and balance than its more expensive siblings. We also wrote that the S90C offers the most complete overall image of anything in the same bracket.

Smart TV: Google TV

Contrast suffers off-center

The Hisense U8K has great picture quality, excellent gaming features and a seriously competitive price point to make it a mid-range winner. Using mini-LED technology for high brightness levels, the Hisense U8K is great for daytime viewing and comes installed with Google TV as a smart TV platform, which is generally slick and packed with useful streaming apps.

Despite focusing on brightness, thanks to that mini-LED technology, the Hisense U8K also offers deep black levels for an excellent contrast. Unfortunately, this contrast does fade somewhat when viewed off-center. However, thanks to its anti-glare coating and a high peak brightness of 1,590 nits (which tops any OLED TV available today) it makes light work of brighter viewing environments.

In terms of gaming, the Hisense U8K is a surprisingly well-stocked TV. With two HDMI 2.1 ports that offer a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, Dolby Vision, VRR and ALLM support, the Hisense U8K is an ideal option for gaming (unless you need four HDMI 2.1 ports). It also features a game mode to get the most effective performance out of your video games.

In terms of audio and design, the Hisense is solid as well, with decent bass and dialog clarity for audio and an adjustable feet from a design point of view. The Hisense U8K may not be the perfect TV, but at the price it is, it's certainly one that suits a lot of people's budgets and comes with a wealth of features as a bonus.

High brightness for regular LED TV

The Sony XR-X90L is Sony’s mid-range TV lineup for 2023 and features a regular LED backlight with local dimming plus the company’s high-end Cognitive Processor XR and its new Clear Image XR tech to upscale and enhance pictures.

Picture quality on the X90L is a step up from last year’s Sony X90K, with notably higher brightness and better local dimming. These improvements show a benefit with HDR programs in particular, with an increase in contrast that brings enhanced definition to picture highlights and shadows. Upscaling of regular HD images is also very good, while native 4K ones look wonderfully detailed.

The X90L has a basic, but effective onboard sound system, with tweeters located at the screen’s left and right sides to augment the sound coming from the TV’s bottom-mounted speakers. The TV’s support feet can be elevated to accommodate a soundbar, with the other option being a flush fit of the screen against a TV stand's top surface.

Gaming features include 4K 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, and Dolby Vision gaming support. The X90L is also Perfect for PlayStation 5, with auto HDR tone mapping and an Auto Genre picture mode that both get activated when a PS5 console input is detected. A new feature for 2023 is Sony’s Game Menu for quick gaming-related adjustments and the set has two HDMI 2.1 inputs that can be used for connection to next-gen consoles. Rounding out its connections in the US is an antenna input with tuner support for ATSC 3.0 ‘next-gen’ digital broadcasts.

Value for the X90L is very good, especially with recent price cuts. You could buy a budget mini-LED 4K TV such as the Hisense U8K for around the same price that provides higher peak brightness, but the Sony’s overall refined performance and features package nonetheless makes it a standout option for its price range.

The Samsung S95C is an incredibly bright OLED that we gave a rare five out of five stars in our review. It replaces the Samsung S95B that came before it, updating the 2022 TV in almost every way.

It's an impressive TV, but what really stood out during our testing was how bright the picture is. Samsung says it's managed to increase the brightness more than 40% over the S95B. This makes it our top pick in our list of the best 75-inch TVs if brightness is what you're after. We found that this "extra brightness not only looks fantastic but pushes HDR video to new heights of drama and realism. It also unlocks colour volume and purity that we've never seen from an OLED TV".

Sharpness, viewing angles and upscaling are all fantastic too, making this an easy recommendation for movie lovers. Then again, gamers will also be happy to find a number of features and formats supported, including 4K/120Hz support and an ultra fast 9.2ms response time. The Samsung S95C may come in a range of sizes, but to really make the most of that wonderful bright picture, it's an easy one to recommend if you're looking for a TV at the bigger end of the spectrum.

The best cheap 75-inch TV

Specifications

Screen sizes: 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 85-inch

Panel technology: LED

Smart TV: Tizen

HDR: HDR10, HLG, HDR10+

Reasons to avoid

-

lacking contrast

The Samsung CU8000 offers a bright colorful picture, with surprisingly good sharpness and a natural look. Its design is eye-catching and its gaming performance is good, despite lacking a lot of the premium gaming features of other TVs. If you're after a big screen at a budget price, the CU8000 is certainly an option.

First and foremost, the Samsung CU8000's picture is a mixed bag. Whilst it has impressively vivid colors and great detail, especially for a large LED TV, the CU8000 also has its pitfalls. As it's an edge-lit TV, black uniformity (the ability to evenly display black across the screen) is not good and black tones often take on a gray color and sometimes cloudy look. Its contrast is also lacking as a result of this. That's not to say the CU8000's picture is bad, but this is definitely something to be aware of. However, for the price at larger sizes, it's one of the better LEDs we've tested.

One of the CU8000's strongest points is its design. Despite being one of Samsung's more budget sets, it's great to see that care was taken in the design of the CU8000, which has a stunningly slim depth, trim bezel and solid build quality. That may not be one of the most important factors to some, but it's a very nice touch.

Whilst the Samsung CU8000 lacks a lot of gaming features we look for such as 120Hz support and VRR, graphically it was and crisp enough and handled motion well, thanks to a low 10ms input lag time. It certainly isn't one of the best gaming TVs on the planet, but it's adequate.

The Samsung CU8000 is a good enough option for those looking for a budget big screen, mainly thanks to its colorful picture and attractive design. Whilst its black levels aren't good and its gaming features are lacking, it provides what you need for a competitive price. If you can stretch your budget a bit more though, it might be worth it.

The best 75-inch 8K TV

Specifications

Screen size: 65, 75, 85-inches

Resolution: 8K

Panel technology: Neo QLED / Mini LED

Smart TV: Tizen

HDR: HDR10, HLG, HDR10+

Reasons to buy

+

Outstanding 8K upscaling

+

Spectacular brightness and contrast

+

Fantastic color depth

+

Great off-axis viewing performance

Reasons to avoid

-

Expensive versus Samsung’s 4K flagship

-

No Dolby Vision support

-

Still some minor blooming

The Samsung QN900C takes home entertainment to a new level with its mini-LED panel. The mini-LED lighting in the QN900C uses LEDs 40 times smaller than those found in Samsung’s regular LED TVs, enabling countless thousands more of them to fit into the same screen area. This has the potential to deliver brighter images as well as more effective local light control. An external box also brings you every connection you'd need – even if you're a cutting edge gamer.

As you might expect, picture quality here is jaw-droppingly good – not least because 8K really does make a difference. This is especially true with native 8K content, if you can find any, but Samsung’s ever-improving 8K upscaling also delivers denser, richer pictures with high-quality 4K sources.

The great thing about the Samsung QN900C is it looks stunning when it's off, too. This is thanks to an almost non-existent frame around its screen, a sleek perforated metallic finish to its side panels and the way its rear panel manages to be as flat and almost as clutter-free as the screen. The minimalist design is helped by an external connection box, hooking up to your TV with a single cable.

The Samsung QN900C isn't cheap. But it delivers stunning picture quality, spectacular color and brightness, terrific sound and outstanding blacks. If money’s no object and you’re able to feed it a diet of high quality (ideally mostly 4K) sources, then the QN900C is certainly better than rivals.

7. TCL 75QM8 Class (US-only)

A budget 75-inch TV with great brightness and gaming features

Specifications

Screen size: 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, 98-inch

Refresh rate: 144Hz

Panel Type: QLED with mini-LED

Smart TV: Google TV

HDR: HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, HDR10+

Reasons to buy

+

High brightness

+

Anti-glare screen

+

Affordable price

Reasons to avoid

-

Some backlight blooming

-

No ATSC 3.0 tuner

-

No 55-inch screen option

TCL’s QM8 Class 4K TVs are the company’s only mini-LED TVs for 2023, but the company clearly wanted to offer something special for its flagship line. What’s notable about the new QM8 Class sets is they are being offered in screen sizes up to a staggering 98 inches.

Peak light output is also higher than earlier TCL mini-LED TVs, a factor that in many ways lets them compete with similarly featured but higher-cost models from the big-name brands. The QM8 Class does a great job on the local dimming front, and its powerful picture processing upscales regular HD images in a clean manner, while also excelling on motion handling and noise reduction.

The QM8 TVs are a great option for gaming with next-gen consoles as well. Dual HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K 120Hz input while a Game Accelerator feature allows for up to 240Hz VRR gaming at 1080p resolution. TCL’s top TV also has a Game Master mode that reduces input lag significantly when active and provides a transparent game bar menu option with gaming-specific settings.

The QM8 has a slim, bezel-free design, with a center-mounted stand that’s height adjustable. TCL’s backlit remote features a built-in mic for voice commands, and there’s also a mic built into the TV itself for hands-free commands. The sets use Google TV as the smart interface, but also work with Alexa and Apple’s HomeKit.

Value is a big factor with TCL, and the QM8 Class certainly delivers on that front. You’d have to pay quite a bit more to get better performance from a mini-LED TV than what you’re getting here.

A mid-range OLED 4K TV with big, rich audio

Specifications

Screen size: 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches

Resolution: 4K

Panel Type: OLED

Smart TV: Google TV

HDR: HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision

Reasons to buy

+

Incredibly real image quality

+

Built-in sound is above average

Reasons to avoid

-

Less bright than the top OLED TVs

-

Only two HDMI 2.1 ports

The Sony A80L is a mid-range OLED and direct competitor to the LG C3 that delivers all the essentials for an OLED TV: detailed blacks, well-saturated color, and 4K 120Hz support for gaming. The icing on the cake is Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ tech, which uses actuators to turn the screen itself into a speaker, combined with two subwoofers for a fuller range. This is that rare thing, a TV that doesn't have us recommending a soundbar as a must-have: it's impressively loud and does a great job of matching the positioning of sounds to what's on the screen.

The image quality is astounding too – especially when it comes to natural-feeling detail. Sony's Cognitive Processor XR is a step above anything else when it comes to creating super-sharp 4K images from streamed content that doesn't feel over-sharpened, and nothing makes sub-4K video look as good. Color and contrast are excellent handled too, especially nuance in dark tones. The one downside is that it isn't very bright – basically, for movie lovers watching in darkened room, it's wonderful, but in a light room it'll get overwhelmed by reflections.

It's a good gaming set too, especially for PS5 owners, thanks to its 'Perfect for PS5' features, which include better handling of HDR and auto mode-switching for different genres when playing on the console. It's a shame that only two of its four HDMI ports support full HDMI 2.1 features, though – you get four HDMI 2.1 ports from most LG TVs, or the Samsung OLED models.

Priced the same as last year’s C2 series

The LG OLED77C3 replaces the LG C2 OLED that came before it. That’s been no easy feat. The C2 was one of our best TVs of 2022 with great performance, features and price. But when we tested the newest LG OLED C3, we found it every bit as impressive as its predecessor.

This TV delivers impressive levels of brightness, contrast and definition. It takes advantage of LG’s Alpha9 Gen6 chip, which is used for picture processing and HDR-improving features, like Expression Enhancer and OLED Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro. The upshot is that images look better and clearer, making it a good choice for movie lovers. It’s a great choice for gamers too with four HDMI 2.1 inputs with support for 4K 120Hz, VRR, ALLM, along with FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync.

This is a good-looking TV too, with a slim bezel and aluminum-faced center stand. The only notable downside is that buyers in the US should be aware that it lacks the built-in ATSC 3.0 digital TV tuner found in LG’s step-up G3 series models. The LG OLED C3 is available in a range of screen sizes, but we think the 77-inch TV is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a big screen that’ll really make the most of the impressive picture it offers.

Samsung’s QN90C series TVs are the step-down offering in the company’s 2023 Neo QLED lineup. The QN90C’s mini-LED backlighting lets it deliver peak light output approaching what Samsung’s flagship QN95C Neo QLED TVs are capable of, while also delivering the deep blacks that local dimming provides. And while the QN90C doesn’t quite hit the OLED-like heights of the QN95C when it comes to rendering the deepest shadows, its performance on that front is nonetheless impressive.

With its slim form factor, thin bezel and sturdy hexagonal plate stand, the QN90C has strong visual appeal and looks great when in Ambient Mode, which is a Samsung feature for displaying artwork and photos in a low-power mode. Its Tizen smart TV interface is somewhat more busy than what you’ll see on other 4K TVs, but it provides plenty of customization options.

Gaming is a particularly strong point for Samsung Neo QLED TVs, and the QN90C offers up four 4K 120Hz-capable HDMI 2.1 ports for connecting next-gen game consoles. Its Gaming Hub greatly expands the possibilities for gamers with cloud-based services including Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, Utomik and more.

Samsung Neo QLED TVs tend to be pricey, and the QN90C is no exception. But you’ll be able to score one for a good deal less than the company’s flagship QN95C, and unless you’re an ardent videophile, the differences between the two won’t appear all that dramatic.

The Panasonic MZ2000 was Panasonic's flagship OLED launched in 2023. It's packed with the TV maker's latest tech, including Micro Lens Array (MLA) OLED paired with heat-sink technology to improve brightness. There's also a comprehensive built-in Dolby Atmos sound system here, making it a complete, all-in-one TV package – even some of the best TVs around right now don't deliver when it comes to audio.

The Panasonic MZ2000's picture quality is outstanding. Expect a contrast-rich image, stunningly deep black levels and punchy, vibrant colors. The MZ2000 also really excels with any source thrown at it. During our testing, we noted that there's a dynamic flair to this TV's picture, as well as a natural feel, with characters’ skin tones and texture looking particularly lifelike.

The Panasonic MZ2000 is a great gaming TV thanks to its performance, features and integrated Game Mode and menus. There's also the usual suite of 4K 120Hz and VRR. However, although Dolby Vision gaming is supported, it's only at 60Hz as opposed to 120Hz, and there are only two HDMI 2.1 ports, unlike the Samsung S95C or LG G3 that are equivalent quality but deliver four HDMI 2.1 ports.

This is one impressive TV, but it isn't cheap and flagship OLED competitors are more affordable.

The Samsung Q80C offers a lot of quality for a competitive price, providing some of the best bang for your buck we've seen from a mid-range TV. With a bright, colorful and detail-rich picture, plenty of gaming features including 120Hz across four HDMI ports and great value, the Q80C is one of the best mid-range TVs available.

The Samsung Q80C uses a QLED panel, meaning it provides a brighter image than standard LED. But, we were surprised at just how bright the Q80C was for a mid-range TV, with peak brightness measured at 929 nits on the 65-inch model we tested. Combine this with vivid colors, excellent 4K detail and surprisingly deep black levels, and you have a real winner. It does suffer at off-angle viewing, but overall the Q80C's picture is phenomenal.

Gaming is another highpoint for the Q80C, with its extensive list of gaming features including 4K 120Hz support across all four HDMI ports, VRR and AMD FreeSync Premium support and a dedicated Game Hub with cloud gaming options. Overall, the Q80C is an excellent gaming TV for those with a mid-range budget.

Whilst it isn't the best performer in every category, the picture quality you get, the gaming features included, its above-average sound system and great value all combine to make a superb TV that impressed us.

Best 75-inch TVs: FAQ

Is a 75-inch TV too big for a living room?

While many promotional and marketing images might lead you to believe that a 75-inch TV is too big for a living room, this really isn't the case for lounges of an average size.

So long as you have a table or stand that's accommodating to the TV's large size, and create adequate space for peripherals like soundbars and speakers, a 75-inch TV won't take up as much real estate as you might think. And if you're thinking of mounting a 75-inch TV on wall using one of the best TV wall mounts, you'll also want to consider how much space it'll take up on the wall.

Do keep in mind that you may have to rearrange the room around the TV for the best possible viewing experience, however.

How far should you sit from a 75-inch TV?

For optimal viewing with a 75-inch TV, we'd recommend sitting roughly 50-60 inches away from the screen for a fully immersive experience. Rearranging the furniture in your room to accommodate this will help, and it could be as simple as slightly adjusting your couch.

How much does a 75-inch TV cost?

The very best 75-inch TVs can vary wildly in price. The LG G1, for example, will run you an eye-watering $4,499 / £4,799 (around AU$6,000), while Hisense present a much more affordable option in the U6G at $1,199 (around £790 / AU$1,470).

The difference in price here seems drastic considering both examples offer excellent picture quality. It all depends on how much you're willing to pay for extra bells and whistles and design sensibilities, such as the G1's wonderfully thin design and best-in-class options for gaming.

Do be extra wary about TV sales that sound too good to be true, though. If you see a 75-inch 4K TV for around $600 / £600, it's probably going to let you down in terms of picture performance with bad backlighting and cheap edge-lit LED panels that produce poor black levels and contrast.

During key sales periods such as Black Friday, of course, those pricing expectations are a little different, so in any case it's worth paying attention to how much a 75-inch TV was at launch.

Some Hisense TVs can have a high launch price and quickly undercut it for a sense of value, and often you can get a good discount at least a few months after release, but in general you should be looking for the largest discount compared to a previous price, rather than just the cheapest 75-inch TV out there. And if you're low on cash, you should probably be opting for a decent 65-inch TV, rather than a half-baked 75-inch one.

Once you get to a 75-inch size, too, 8K TVs really become a smart investment too. That's because the greater number of pixels over 4K (33 million rather than eight million) ensures far greater detail at that size. A 55-inch 8K TV doesn't really make much of a difference, but a 75-inch 8K TV certainly does.
