Especially since I got over 20 shades of the Golden Rose Longstay liquid matte lipsticks; in addition to their Velvet Matte lipsticks, some of the best budget matte lipsticks ever. A long, very long time ago, at the beginning of my very first blog, I wrote a few reviews about the Golden Rose Longstay liquid matte lipstick shades. There were only twelve matte lipstick shades back then, and it’s been so long that I can’t even remember when it was exactly. Around that time, I wrote a first post about twelve shades of the Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick Golden Rose Cosmetics. Then I wrote a second one when the Turkish makeup brand released five more lipstick colors. And since there are now over 30 shades in the Longstay Liquid Matte lipsticks, I thought I’d just publish a full review of all the shades I used to have. The famous and affordable cosmetics brand that is Golden Rose offers many more amazing makeup products. You can find anything in there from amazingly cheap eyeshadows to blushes, super longlasting nail polish and one of their all-time bestsellers, the Velvet Matte lipstick range. But for today, we’ll focus on the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipstick range, with over 30 amazing colors to choose from and wear day after day. Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks – An IntroductionThe Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte lipstick range retails for €5.90 a piece in France, where I used to get them. That is a great price, considering that most brands now price their liquid matte lipsticks around €20. The packaging of the Golden Rose liquid matte lipsticks is simple, black and transparent, all plastic, easy to take on a trip or in your bag for touch-ups. The only downside with those liquid matte lipsticks is the packaging. Do not place the lipsticks heading down – even if it would help you see faster which number to pick up, after a while, they start leaking a kind of sticky oil. You don’t want to see that happen, so keep your lipsticks with the lid facing up. That’s a shame, but when you put the Golden Rose Longstay liquid matte lipsticks in your bag, they don’t have that issue. Other than that, I really love how cool they all look when they’re together in my stash. Beyond that, I love how vibrant and very different all the lipstick colors are from one another. Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks Swatches – Shades 02 to 13The first shades of the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks I ever got were shades 1 to 12 and I kept only the colors I knew I would use. I don’t have shades 01, 03, 10, 11 and 12 anymore. In the first 12 shades of these Golden Rose lipsticks, I found a great variety of colors. One or two nudes, a bright red lipstick, two or three pinks and even a greige lipstick which was all the rage back in 2016, when I first wrote the post. My favorites among those twelve Longstay liquid matte lipsticks were number 04 and 06, which I found very peculiar and had never seen before, and number 05 which suits olive skin amazingly well. And if you’re used to getting more expensive lipsticks, like the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour lipsticks, the Golden Rose Longstay 02 is actually a great dupe for the now-discontinued MAC Tailored to Tease lipstick. Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks Swatches – Shades 16 to 23Then Golden Rose added 5 new shades to the Longstay Liquid Matte lipstick range, from number 13 to 18, and I was in love with them the moment I saw them. At that time, I was already deeply into colorful liquid matte lipsticks. I was still shy when it came to wearing those Longstay liquid matte lipsticks, though. I had next to no knowledge of even how to apply a liquid matte lipstick, and wasn’t a makeup artist yet when they were released. The tip does require a sure hand to apply perfectly, as it’s rather large and flat. Still, I fell in love with number 14, a great bold orange, number 16, a beautiful not-too-nude nude (probably a good MAC Lady-Be-Good dupe!), and number 18, a deeper red than number 09. After that, the Longstay Liquid Matte lipstick collection was again extended with 8 new shades – some of the most beautiful to date. Numbers 19 to 26 all have a very autumn feel to them. Once again, Golden Rose managed to create never-before-seen matte lipstick shades. Numbers 19 and 20 are some of my very favorites among the whole range of the Longstay Liquid Matte lipsticks – super pigmented and really just beautiful colors. Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks Swatches – Shades 24 to 32In the picture above, you’ll see that the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte lipsticks in shades 24, 25 and 26 are perfect for medium to dark skin tones. The Longstay 24 is actually a good MAC Soar lipstick dupe, and those three colors are stunning on fair olive skin and Indian skin as well. A few months after, Golden Rose released numbers 27 to 29, and added the liquid matte lipstick shades 30, 31 and 32 the following year. Among those 6, I really love shade 27 which is a kind of caramel, and I’d say, a good MAC Marrakesh dupe (or Marrakesh-Mere dupe, if you like the liquid Powder Kiss lipsticks). Number 28 is one of my favorite kinds of purple – has that MAC Rebel vibe. I also have to say that the Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte lipstick 30 is one of the prettiest raspberry lipsticks ever. If you own some MAC, it will remind you of the Dance With Me liquid matte lipstick shade, only slightly lighter. Golden Rose Longstay Liquid Matte Lipsticks Review & SwatchesAfter all this time, I’m still in love with those liquid matte lipsticks signed Golden Rose. They were my very first in the liquid matte lipstick field and I’m deeply attached to them. The great variety of colors and the great quality of this Golden Rose matte lipstick range makes those great items to wear day in, day out. I don’t feel that this Golden Rose Longstay lipstick range is completely transferproof, but they do offer great lasting power and they’re super comfy. Plus, you only need a teeny bit of lipstick to have a greatly pigmented lip – and the price, man… Even with the dark shades, a little goes a long way when it comes to the Longstay Liquid Matte lipsticks Golden Rose has come up with.
