Don t starve together low FPS
Lets see if this is a vsync issue, cos im running at 60fps with a gtx970 Open your Nvidia Control Panel choose "dontstarve_steam.exe", scroll down till you see "Vertical Sync" and "Triple buffering" Set also in the game itself turn "bloom effect" off

Whenever I click "add", the Nvidia crash.
what a load of ♥♥♥♥ thankfully theres a workaround,
your gonna have to get "Nvidia Inspector" Run it as admin, look for where it says "Driver Version" click on the settings icon next to it and follow the steps ive marked on this
image 1) search for "dont starve" then just turn vsync off and turn triple buff on hows the 1070 doing regarding other games? i was thinking of getting the 1080 but im like on the fence Last edited by Lazrdisc; 23 Feb, 2017 @ 1:20pm
Ninja 23 Feb, 2017 @ 3:19pmWoow dude, epic! I followed your steps and it worked like a charm now! It is capped to 60 fps with vsync off though I am not complaining. Totally playable now thanks to you.
It is really good for me. I play on 1080p and it is sufficient. I had an AMD R9 370 2GB before and it was fine. I was on the fence of upgrading like you and when I couldn't run dishonored 2 I went for it. I wanted to get the GTX 1080 but the price is too high here. Totally recommend 1070
yeah i mean i can play most of the stuff 1080 no problem, i never tried dishonored on my 970 but it only took one game change your mind huh? damn!

ya, kinda. I really like to max games and I couldn't do it with my old GPU. I was a huge fan of dishonored when it came out and when the sequel came out and I couldn't run it I was sold on a GPU upgrade! Plus, I plan on upgrading to a 4k monitor in the near future so the upgrade is justified xDD I really recommend dishonored 1 and 2. you will love them. and I dunno since you can run most games on 1080p maybe just get a titan x then if you are trying to max stuff on 4k xD Last edited by Ninja; 23 Feb, 2017 @ 8:05pm

what a load of ♥♥♥♥ That fixed my issue. However, I downloaded a newer version of NVIDIA Inspector (2018), and it worked as well, after following your instructions and screenshot. I've got a DELL Inspiron 8550U (i8, 16Gb RAM, 4Gb Video card), and FPS reached 45 sometimes. I don't like to complain, but that didn't make any sense. Now it never leaves 60 FPS and it's nice and smooth. Thanks, I hope this helps other people. Last edited by Rnaf; 16 Jun, 2018 @ 5:59pm
Lets see if this is a vsync issue, cos im running at 60fps with a gtx970 MAN YOU ARE A LEGEND
I have noticed this recently. The problem was the minimap, which after closing in-game shot my fps back up to 60.
Hello all, late to the
party, I know, but I was getting 40-50 FPS in DST both in Menu and in Game. I checked CPU and GPU usage and it was at 10-20% Last edited by szymson92; 11 Feb, 2020 @ 9:33am
