Microsoft remote desktop for mac 10.13.6
Here is the link to the standalone installer if you want to try that instead of using the App Store: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=868963
If I recall, there is more than one Remote Desktop app on the store, maybe you got the wrong one.
I think they finally pulled version 8 from the App Store.
This sorted it. Thanks

Am I correct in understanding that there is no support or apps available for Remote Desktop on MacOS 10.13.6 (high Sierra) Is it just not available or is there an older version available? remote-desktop-servicesComment

Hi there, I recently upgraded my MacOS to High Sierra and now I can't get Microsoft Remote Desktop to open. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times but no luck. When I click on the application nothing happens at all and when I try to open it through spotlight search, the message "The application “Microsoft Remote Desktop” can’t be opened." The app store says it is compatible with 10.13 or later so it should still be able to work on my macbook. If anyone would be able to help out, I'd really appreciate it! remote-desktop-clientComment

Hi, I understand that the Remote Desktop is now version 10.15 and is only compatible to macOS 10.13 or later. Unfortunately, my old work horse MacBook Pro 2011 is stuck at macOS 10.12. There was a discussion here about getting older version Remote Desktop at https://www.787846.com/Mac/ but the link is no longer available. Can anyone help me as I am required to work from home and our IT staff has asked me to download RD for remote access and I could not due to older macOS. remote-desktop-servicesComment |
