The majority of fall TV shows will premiere next month with a few exceptions. The Blacklist Season 9 is one of the exceptions on NBC.
Fall is almost here. Pumpkin spice lattes are back, the cooler weather will roll in soon, and fall TV is back on our screens. And yes, most of the fall shows are returning in September 2021. This isnt a repeat of last fall where shows were held to November due to filming delays with the pandemic.
There are a few exceptions.The Blacklist Season 9 is sadly one of the exceptions. It is not on the list of shows returning in September 2021.
The good news is we know when it will return. There may even be another hint that its a show ending with this season.

Originally,The Blacklist Season 9 was going to remain on Fridays. Its a good night for the series, especially when it comes to streaming. Then NBC decided not to go ahead withLaw & Order: For the Defense after all. With the Thursday night slot open, NBC opted to move the veteran drama into the slot instead.
Its going to be without Liz Keen as Megan Boone has left the series. Its also going to be without creator Jon Bokenkamp. Both of these exits suggest that the season could be the last.
TVLine shared a blind item, which says a long-running show is going to have a two-year time jump. Its going to kick off what is possibly the last season of the long-running show, and that show is not something on The CW. So, were looking at the Big 4 networks.
It could certainly beThe Blacklist Season 9. If we do see a two-year time jump, which would certainly help skip over the grief due to the loss of Liz, then well know the season is potentially the last.
