Every personal shopping experience includes a Colour & Body Shape Analysis. Here we evaluate your colouring, skin tone and body shape. Later this will inform the colour palettes and silhouettes we pick during the styling session, Knowing what not to wear is just as important as knowing what to wear, so your analysis will also include the colours and shapes to shy away from. This is the most important part of the session which sets the bedrock for successful styling. Shopping smart is something I always highlight during styling sessions. Its about ditching emotional shopping that is driven by desire over need. Shopping smart means shopping with a clear purpose of what you truly need and love. A simple tip I always give to my clients: Before buying a garment, ask yourself whether you can wear it in 4 different ways. Will you get at least 30 wears out of it? If the answer is no, dont buy it. By keeping this simple styling rule, you will end up buying less but wearing more of your clothes.
Shopping smart means finding the stores and brands that are right for your body shape, personality and budget. Different body shapes suit different shops and my job as a stylist is to make a plan and curate a shopping journey that is right for your styling brief. I will introduce you to some new labels that you might have heard of but never tried or didnt even know existed. You will gain valuable knowledge of where and how to shop for your wardrobe staples.
Shopping smart is also about spreading your budget wisely and investing in the right staple pieces that are important to you. For example, if you work in banking, a few tailored pieces such as a well-fitted blazer and a nice bag that fits a laptop is a must. Within that, some of my clients might have a more vibrant personality and we would express that through interesting accessories and jewellery, while others might love minimalism and we would shop their essentials in different stores. In essence, even if two people have the same job and need the same type of staples such as a tailored suit, they could have completely different personalities resulting in different shopping journeys and different looks.
