Since Xposed interacts with Android at a very low-level, any update to Android makes the existing version of the framework incompatible with it. The release of Lollipop required the developer to write the framework from scratch which was a time consuming process. In the end though, Xposed framework for Android 5.0 was not only faster than its KitKat version, but also retained compatibility with existing modules.
While the official release of Xposed framework is not compatible with Android 5.1, an XDA member was able to create a version that worked with the latest release of Lollipop. Like before, installing Xposed framework on Android 5.1 will require a rooted Android device with a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM installed.

Before you jump to the steps below, it is recommended to make a backup of all your data on the handset even though installing Xposed framework will not touch your personal data in anyway.

Note: The current version of Xposed framework for Android 5.1 Lollipop is not compatible with stock Samsung ROMs.
Step 1: Depending on the processor used by your device, download the appropriate version of Xposed framework from below along with the APK.
- Xposed framework for 32-bit devices
- Xposed framework for 64-bit devices [LG G4, HTC One M9 and other Snapdragon 810/615/410 powered devices]
- Xposed framework APK
Transfer both files to the internal storage of your Android device.
Step 2: Reboot your device into TWRP or CWM recovery. The steps for going into recovery varies from device to device and if you are unsure of the steps, you can use an app like Quick Boot from the Google Play Store to avoid all the hassle.
Step 3: Once your device has booted into recovery, tap the ‘Install’ button and select the Xposed ZIP file that you had transferred to your device in Step 1. Once the ZIP file has been installed, reboot your device back into Android.
Step 4: You will now have to install the accompanying Xposed framework APK on your Android device. Using a file manager like Solid File Explorer, navigate to the location where you had saved the APK and tap on it. If you get a prompt saying you don’t have installation from unauthorised sources enabled, tap the ‘Settings’ button and then toggle the ‘Unknown Sources’ switch to on from the Security menu.
Then, once again tap the APK to start the installation. If you get any prompt while installing the APK, click on ‘Accept.’
Step 5: To confirm that Xposed framework has been installed on your device, open the app and head over to ‘Framework.’ The installed app_process and XposedBridge versions on your device will be displayed under ‘active.’ If their version number are displayed in green, you have successfully managed to install Xposed framework on your Android device.

You can install new modules by going to the ‘Download’ section of the app, and manage existing ones by going into the ‘Modules’ section. Make sure to activate each module after installing them and then restart your device for the changes to take place.
Keep in mind that not all the modules displayed in the app will be compatible with your device, so select and install them wisely. While an incompatible module won’t brick your device, it will lead to random crashes and reboots.

Tuy nhiên, bản Xposed dành cho Android 5.0 mới chỉ ở dạng Alpha nên khó có thể tránh khỏi lỗi trong quá trình cài đặt và sử dụng. Do vậy, người dùng cần hết sức cân nhắc trước khi sử dụng. Bên cạnh đó, cũng cần phải lưu ý rằng bản Xposed Framework này mới chỉ hỗ trợ các vi xử lý kiến trúc ARMv7.
Được biết, các bản mod cũng như tool dành cho Android 5.0 sẽ cần phải viết lại do hệ điều hành mới của Google sử dụng môi trường máy ảo ART thay thế cho Davilk. Ngoài Xposed Framework thì cũng có rất nhiều các tool vẫn chưa tương thích với Android Lollipop.

- Sau khi cài thì bật lên, ấn vào ô "Framework". Vào trong thì sẽ thấy thế này, ấn vào Install/Update. Nó sẽ cài Xposed Framework. [Yêu cầu reboot thì reboot nhé]
- Reboot xong thì Xposed đã có thể sử dụng được rồi.
II. Đối với Android 5.0 trở lên. - Hơi lằng nhằng hơn tí thôi. Ta cần 2 thứ, một file Apk để cài vào máy và một file zip để flash qua recovery. Còn lại thì tương tự phần I...

- Sau đó thì vào đây: [Index of /framework/uninstaller/], tải một file zip về. Tùy máy mà tải cho đúng nhé. SDK21 là Android 5.0, SDK22 là Android 5.1, SDK23 là Android 6.0. Rồi bên trong thì arm - cho ARMv7 hoặc armeabi, arm64 - cho AArch64 hoặc arm64, x86 - cho x86 hoặc x86abi. Ai chưa biết thì cài CPUz bên Yeuapk.com nhé. Tải cho đúng nếu không không cài được đâu...
[Bên trong còn có mục uninstaller nữa cũng nên tải về đề phòng bất trắc. Uninstaller tải cái đuôi zip thôi nhé để flash qua recovery gỡ cái framework ra.]
- Xong thì cài cái Apk, Reboot vào recovery, flash cái file zip mới tải. Thường thì mình wipe cache với dalvik cache trước và sau khi flash cho nó chắc. Ở bước này nếu zip tải không đúng với máy thì sẽ báo lỗi.
Vài lưu ý nhỏ: - Samsung stock rom sẽ dính bootloops . Đừng đụng vào. - Máy Sony bị hỏng services.odex sẽ báo lỗi "Fatal signal 6" or "No pending exception expected: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException". Không có cách fix cũng đừng đụng. - Muốn an tâm thì vào đây nghiên cứu cho kĩ: [OFFICIAL] Xposed for Lollipop/Marshmallow topic từ XDA
- Cài và xài GravityBox.

- Tải phiên bản phù hợp với máy mình về sau đó cài vào, bật Xposed lên, vào ô "Module", tick check vào GravityBox[JB] hoặc GravityBox[KK], ... gì gì đấy.
Ấn nhầm bật GravityBox lên nó sẽ báo lỗi nhé cẩn thận... Sau đó ta reboot. Thế là đã xong và có thể bắt đầu vọc máy được rồi đấy.
